A major multinational healthcare company assigned Agility the task of moving 23 tons of glass vials from its supplier in Italy to Galeão (GIG) International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This was happening while both Italy and Brazil were implementing stringent measures to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. It was especially challenging for the team in Italy, which was in a lockdown with inland transport greatly reduced, significant delays at customs, and a shortage of air freight space.
With meticulous planning and dedicated Agility teams in both countries, the cargo reached Galeão before the deadline, avoiding a costly line disruption, a fact noted with appreciation by the customer.
