Keeping a mega-project on track

Agility completed delivery of 20 locomotives from the United States to Egyptian National Railways (ENR) in Alexandria, Egypt, despite constraints and challenges that arose as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In-person site surveys had to be curtailed and charter vessels sanitized. Crew access for loading and discharging took place under restricted conditions. In the end, ENR took delivery of 2,800 tons of locomotives – 20 cars in all – as planned and scheduled.
